Gabriel Martinelli has been accused of 'cheating' during Arsenal's draw with Liverpool, with some fans comparing him to the criticism Harry Kane is receiving.
At half an hour on Sunday, Mikel Arteta must have wondered why he and every Arsenal player of the past 11 years saw Anfield as a threat.
The Arsenal boss tried to sidestep the club's hoax last year by playing the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" over the loudspeaker during training before being beaten 4-0.
Of course, not often in the last decade and there is a bit of a home team defending as badly as they showed in the first half at the weekend.
When Martinelli put the north London side ahead in the eighth minute of the game, it looked like the afternoon would be very long for Jurgen Klopp's men. It also led to Virgil van Dijk becoming the subject of intense fan criticism, after he tried to save the first goal, with social media calling him 'Van Disney'.
But the striker in the opening goal was also criticized, after being accused of "cheating" and trying to get Ibrahima Konaté punished.
The Brazilian forward didn't seem to have any contact with his face when he passed, but he was still lying on the ground holding his face.
Martinelli's blatant fraud. No hit but still holding his head, this should be punished because it ruined the game The referee said stop the game due to a head injury, that's fair enough, but cut that out. pic.twitter.com/xGzuxgLNSP

"What I don't understand is that they need to know the game is being recorded and we can watch it? Isn't he embarrassed? I think the blatant parasitic behavior needs to be dealt with after becoming aware of it. ", one fan explained.
"It's insulting to any player with a real head injury. The game is stopped because of everything, such as players holding their heads when nothing happens. It's embarrassing," a second said.
Agreeing, a third added: "I wonder why they would do that, the video will always be replayed and they will be seen as liars."
Suggesting a rugby league-style head injury assessment would solve the problem, another replied: "Players should be out for 10 minutes if a match is abandoned on suspicion of a head injury - Just to make sure everything is okay. That will end this whole pointless game."
"The funny thing is that once he falls, he doesn't know what to hold, his face or his chest," a fifth commented.
Because nothing can be a thing, all Tottenham Hotspur fans are furious at being compared to Kane, with one piece of advice: "Be aware that there is nothing in the media about Martinelli and Jesus fell several times yesterday, but when Kane was slapped, people were quick to call him a fraud…”
"Kane got hit in the eye and fell despite being a real cheater," said another.

The Spurs forward was heavily criticized last week following the team's draw with Everton at Goodison Park following an incident that saw Abdoulaye Doucoure sent off. The Toffees midfielder made contact with the striker but responded dramatically by falling to the ground and holding his face for a moment.
Sky Sports expert Graeme Souness is among many to criticize the player, but the difference in the cases is that Konate did not receive a red card.
