Messi says he will get an offer from Barca, Laporta texts him (reliability:
5 stars)
Joan Laporta has yet to speak to Leo Messi directly but third parties have told the Argentinian that Barcelona will make an offer for him, Cadena SER's prestigious Sique Rodriguez reports.
Furthermore, Laporta told Jorge Messi, the player's father, that Leo could not leave Europe without a proper goodbye. This could be a hint that Barca wants to part ways by bringing the striker back to his childhood club.
Meanwhile, the only offer Messi has on the table is from Al Hilal - a staggering 420 million euros in a year. However, it is reported that Leo's intention is to continue in Europe even though his contract at Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of the season. Xavi is also ready for Leo's return and has planned to adjust his tactics to include him in the squad. Obviously, he will try to use Messi in midfield.

According to TEAMtalk, Spanish giants Barcelona are gearing up for the great return of Lionel Messi at Camp Nou and the move will help Manchester United capture one of their top targets.
Messi has scored an incredible 672 goals in 788 appearances for Barca, helping them win four Champions League titles, 10 La Liga titles and seven Copa del Rey, as well as a host of other trophies. However, he was forced to leave Barca in August 2021 because the Blaugrana simply could not afford to offer him a decent new contract.
Few clubs in the world had the finances and appeal to sign the striker, and he ended up going to Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi had a difficult first season in France because of his high standards, but he has been in consistent form this season. 19 goals and 18 assists in 34 appearances, though he was still booed a day after PSG were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
The Argentina international, who helped his country win the World Cup at the end of last year, has been repeatedly linked back to Barca.
Everyone in La Liga wants Messi back after everything he did for the team in his first stint.
And transfer insider Graeme Bailey has told TEAMtalk that Barca are increasingly confident in re-signing the world-famous star.
Sources in Catalonia claim it is time for Messi to return to Barca, not if. Lionel Messi and family want Barcelona back
Messi has kept PSG at bay since the Qatar World Cup - but that's not on the French side.
Messi's family would love to return to Barcelona. The player received offers from American and Saudi clubs but could hardly refuse the possibility of returning to Barca.
Barca clearly have problems off the pitch. However, club president Joan Laporta has worked on the deal and is confident it will work out, whatever may happen. It is important to note that before Messi can return to Barca, they must make room for him. And TEAMtalk understands that one player Messi can really influence is central midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
The Dutchman is one of Barca's most valuable assets so he could be put up for sale to help Messi get back on track.
That would please Man Utd, who have been chasing De Jong since Erik ten Hag took over as manager last summer.
Man Utd negotiated with Barca for several months before agreeing a £63m deal in July. The Red Devils thought they were close to signing De Jong at the time but he just wanted to stay at Barca.
However, Laporta will have no problem forcing De Jong to leave this summer if Barca recruit Messi.
