Over the years the Black Stars of Ghana have not been able to win any major trophy and it is a source of worry for all and sundry. Many people and sports enthusiasts believe that the main problem of the Black Stars has to do with coaching.
Ghana is said to be a football country as it is endowed with so many football talents and with the right coach, the team is likely to win so many laurels for the country.
Chris Hughton is the current Black Stars coach who took over from Otto Addo but interestingly, there is one Ghanaian celebrity who seems to be capable of coaching the Black Stars of Ghana only if he is given the chance.
This celebrity is called Mikki Osei Berko but on the entertainment front he is normally referred to as Master Richard.
He is an MC, Radio Presenter, as well as an actor who has several years of experience on the entertainment scene but he has recently exposed the reason why he is capable of handling the Black Stars.
According to Mikki Osei Berko, he holds a UEFA B Coaching License and he learnt about coaching under the English Football Association.
He also noted that there is a coach who holds the same UEFA B Coaching License who has come to coach the Black Stars and based on this , he doesn't see why he can't equally the Black Stars.
Mikki Osei Berko further noted that he is more than qualified to coach any team ; even the Black Stars as he is a member of the English Football Association. In as much as Mikki Osei Berko may be qualified to coach the Black Stars of Ghana, is he willing to offer his expertise to the team.
Would the Ghana Football Association even give him the opportunity to coach the Black Stars? Time will tell but for now, Chris Hughton would continue to coach the Black Stars.
