Former Manchester City player Les Chapman has revealed what he found in Mario Balotelli's locker after the Italian left the club.
During his time at Man City, Balotelli quickly became a fan favorite for his antics on and off the pitch.
While talent was obvious to everyone, his behavior sometimes got him into trouble.
However, he played a huge role in Man City's spectacular championship in the 11/12 season.
Balotelli was the one who passed the ball to Sergio Aguero to score in the last minute of the 3-2 win over QPR. The Italian finally left the club in 2013 and the former Chapman has revealed what he found in Balotelli's locker.
I said:
“I used to visit the training ground. And I remember walking into the dressing room on my first tour after Mario left.
"And I told them, 'This is Mario's locker.' I opened the door and about 30 parking tickets showed up! He was fined by the club that month, £100,000.
Chapman added:
"He had his car forfeited 27 times and owed Manchester City Council £10k when he left and I think the club paid that for him."
Chapman also recalled the famous quote "Why always me?" by Balotelli. party.
I said:
"That day, Mario brought me in and said 'I want this on my shirt, what do you think?' I agree, I will print it, but [I told him] you must not have anything offensive to United fans or anyone.
"He came up with a thing or two and I said 'No, Mario' and then he said 'And why always me?'" As soon as he said it, I thought it was pretty perfect, and then I got in trouble after the game.
“They didn't let me print any more shirts after that game because instead of just picking it up he lifted it over his head and got a card, so David Platt said 'Message from Mancini, don't print more shirts.”
