Cristiano Ronaldo was mocked by rivals Al Nassr after failing to score against them, using a photo of Lionel Messi to mock the striker.

Are we still in an era where someone asks if Ronaldo is better than Messi? The fact that Kieran Richardson speaks out certainly means that everyone has answered the age-old question.

Instead, Argentina's World Cup victory dismissed any question of their various achievements, especially with Portugal being knocked out when Ronaldo scored again in the knockout match.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner then fled to Saudi Arabia after seeing his contract at Manchester United come to an end. Of course, before the tournament, people were just talking about two legends, and whether they might meet at some point or whether one would prove to be greater than the other.

A Louis Vuitton photo of the two superstars playing chess together went viral online, even though it turned out they weren't even in the same room.

Now this photo has been used to mock the 38-year-old after he failed to score against Al Feiha at the weekend, which his team drew 0-0.

His opponents have now posted this chess picture, but have replaced Messi with their captain, Sami Al-Khaibari, with the caption 'check-in'.

It was not a good night for Real Madrid's all-time top scorer as his chances of winning a league title in another country were dented.

The draw leaves Al Nassr 3 points behind their group rival Al Ittihad with only 7 matches left, and the two teams will no longer have to face each other. Unable to score in the match, Ronaldo left the field in a very unhappy mood and got into a scuffle with Al Fayha midfielder Ali Al-Zaqan.

Leaving the field, the striker is said to have shouted: "Don't you want to play?", while pulling the lock of his mouth towards his opponent.

Things are not rosy for the superstar either, after his relationship with teammate Talisca hit rock bottom.

However, the Brazilian has clearly let go of the grudge when he decided to sign a new contract to stay with the club until 2026.
