  FULL STORY OF MOSES

Moses is one of the most significant figures in the Bible, as he was chosen by God to lead the Israelite's out of slavery in Egypt and into the Promised Land. The story of Moses begins in the book of Exodus.

Moses was born during a time when the Pharaoh of Egypt had ordered all Hebrew baby boys to be killed. His mother, Jochebed, put him in a basket and placed it in the Nile River, hoping someone would find him and save him. The Pharaoh's daughter discovered Moses in the basket and decided to raise him as her own son.

Moses grew up in the palace, but eventually discovered that he was actually a Hebrew. One day, while he was out observing the Hebrew slaves, he saw an Egyptian overseer mistreating a Hebrew slave. In a fit of anger, Moses killed the overseer and fled to the land of Midian.

There, Moses married a woman named Zipporah and became a shepherd. One day, he saw a burning bush that was not consumed by the flames. God spoke to Moses through the bush and told him to go back to Egypt and lead the Israelites out of slavery.

Moses was initially hesitant to accept the task, but God gave him the power to perform miracles, such as turning his staff into a snake and making his hand leprous and then healing it. He also sent his brother Aaron to help him speak to Pharaoh.

Moses and Aaron went before Pharaoh and demanded that he let the Israelites go. However, Pharaoh refused and God sent ten plagues upon Egypt. These included turning the Nile River into blood, sending frogs, lice, flies, and locusts, causing darkness, and killing the firstborn sons of Egypt.

Finally, Pharaoh agreed to let the Israelites go, but changed his mind and pursued them with his army. God parted the Red Sea, allowing the Israelites to cross on dry land, but drowned Pharaoh and his army in the process.

Moses then led the Israelites through the wilderness for forty years, during which time God gave him the Ten Commandments and many other laws. However, Moses was not allowed to enter the Promised Land due to an act of disobedience. He died at the age of 120, and Joshua became the new leader of the Israelite.
