HISTORY OF PROPHET MOHAMMED (S.A.W)

Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) was born in 570 CE in the city of Mecca in present-day Saudi Arabia. He grew up orphaned and was raised by his uncle, Abu Talib.


At the age of 40, Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) received his first revelation from Allah through the angel Gabriel while meditating in a cave on Mount Hira. This marked the beginning of his mission to spread the message of Islam.


Initially, Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) faced opposition and persecution from the Meccans who worshipped idols. However, he continued to preach the message of monotheism and the oneness of Allah.


In 622 CE, Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) and his followers were forced to migrate to Medina due to increasing persecution in Mecca. This event is known as the Hijra and marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar.


In Medina, Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) established the first Islamic state and carried out many reforms, including the establishment of a constitution that guaranteed the rights of all citizens regardless of religion.


Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) also engaged in many battles with the Meccan tribes who were hostile towards the Muslims. These battles were defensive in nature and aimed to protect the Muslim community.


After several years of conflict, Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) conquered Mecca peacefully in 630 CE and invited the people to embrace Islam. He forgave those who had persecuted him and established Islam as the dominant religion in Arabia.


Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) passed away in 632 CE at the age of 63. His legacy continues to inspire millions of Muslims around the world to follow the teachings of Islam and strive towards piety, justice, and compassion in their lives. 

Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) was blessed with seven children, three sons and four daughters, some of his children died before his prophet hood came and one of his children died in am infancy stage, for example Ibrahim died at a very tender age.
