One such person is Chandra Bahadur Dangi from Nepal. He was declared the shortest adult human being ever recorded in history by the Guinness World Records in 2012, standing at only 54.6 centimeters (1 foot 9.5 inches) tall. Dangi lived in the remote Nepalese village of Salyan and was discovered by a wood contractor who was cutting timber in the area. He gained worldwide recognition for his small stature and was able to travel the world before his death in 2015.
Another individual who is often referred to as the world's shortest person is Jyoti Amge from India. Amge holds the title of the "world's smallest living woman" and is considered the shortest adult woman ever recorded at 62.8 centimeters (2 feet 0.6 inches) tall. Amge has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia and has become a public figure in India, appearing in movies and television shows.
A third individual who deserves mention is Junrey Balawing from the Philippines. Balawing was declared the shortest man in the world in 2011 by the Guinness World Records, standing at just 59.93 centimeters (1 foot 11.5 inches) tall. Like Dangi and Amge, Balawing also suffers from a form of dwarfism. He gained national recognition in the Philippines and was given a hero's welcome upon returning to his hometown after receiving his Guinness World Record title.
While it is difficult to definitively determine who the "most shortest person in the world" is, these individuals have all gained worldwide recognition for their small statures. Despite their height, they have each found ways to thrive in their respective communities and have become symbols of resilience and perseverance.
