In each of the last two academic years, the Christian Service University College in Kumasi has admitted more ladies than boys to its undergraduate programs.
In contrast to the academic year 2021–2022, which saw 176 girls and 156 men accepted, the academic year 2022–203 had 272 females and 204 males enroll in the institution.
The president of the CSUC, Prof. Sam Afrane, spoke during the 47th freshman matriculation and defined the scenario as a deliberate strategy of the institution to promote female education in order to lessen gender inequality in society.
In order to lessen gender imbalance in academic settings, he said that the university would continue to promote measures that would inspire and encourage females to finish their education and seek further academic degrees.
Observation
The president continued by saying that while each student was responsible for their own decisions, they needed to follow rules and refrain from being negatively influenced by their classmates.
More women are admitted to Christian Service University.
technology use
Prof. Afrane also urged students to avoid being dependent on technology in this age of technology and the Internet and instead work to allow technology to fulfill their functional requirements.
He said that in a school established on devoutly Christian beliefs, children would get instruction in morality and ethics.
Nonetheless, the president admitted that how the kids submitted to the program and how they internalized religious and moral concepts would determine if it was effective or not.
"We think that learning, whether formal or informal—whatever happens—shapes individuals. Our institution's aim, he stated, is to turn out graduates who are well-equipped to lead fulfilling lives when they graduate.
In order to become an independent, autonomous, and full-fledged university, Prof. Afrane promised the students that the school was making every effort to get a charter.
Both the University of Ghana and the University of Cape Coast are currently connected with the university college.
