Dede Ayew is a Ghanaian professional footballer who currently plays for the English club, Swansea City. Dede was born on December 17, 1989, in Seclin, France. He is the second son of three-time African Footballer of the Year, Abedi Pele.


Dede started his professional career at the age of 14, playing for the Marseille reserve team. He made his professional debut for Marseille in 2007, becoming the youngest player to ever play for the club at the age of 17. He quickly established himself as one of the team's key players and was voted the club's young player of the year in the 2007-2008 season.
