Nigerian life coach, Laila St. Daniel-Mathew has reacted to reports that Moroccan soccer player Achraf Hakimi thwarted his ex-wife, Hiba Abouk, in his decision to claim half of his estate following a divorce.
The 24-year-old PSG star made headlines on social media in the past 24 hours after it was revealed he had deposited 80% of his salary into the account of his mother, Fatima.
Hiba is said to have taken him to court earlier this year, seeking to end their five-year marriage, citing infidelity and other extramarital reasons.
On her Facebook account, the women's rights activist said she was disgusted that Hakimi was "controlled by his mother".
“I see a lot of malicious comments, mostly from men, about Hakimi's wife asking the court to divide her half of the property. For shouting, YOU ARE MY WOMEN AND THEY HAVE TWO SONGS? " she writes. "She can ask anything because she's part of him - it's up to the court to decide. I find it BETTER THAN MOTHER CONTROLING HIM! A grown man? All All these men are talking - is that what they do?
“What woman would be happy when everything that happens in the house is controlled by her mother-in-law? Even though she raised him and was part of his success - it was wrong and also very calculated on Hakimi's part. I am sure that if she has a GOOD lawyer she can get good child support for her and her sons.
