MANCHESTER CITY FANS' NEW CHANT ABOUT CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL MOCKED FOR HILARIOUSLY BEING WRONG

Manchester City supporters were mocked by rival supporters after they proposed a new Champions League track.

To be fair, as a club, City are quite hungry for success in Europe, although they would like to reiterate that winning the league is most important to them.

Even before Tuesday night's quarter-final first leg, many thought Pep Guardiola's side were good candidates for success this season.

Although in a more difficult position to draw, but Erling Haaland's ridiculous form has given them a very 'not now, when' feeling.

Then, Guardiola's men went on to beat Bayern Munich 3-0 at the Etihad this week and keep their fans very optimistic to reach this year's final. In fact, their fans have absorbed the spirit of Jurgen Klopp and are now cheering about going to Istanbul for the chance to be European champions, as you can hear below.

"Istanbul, Istanbul, we are coming!", enthusiastic supporters shouted to anyone who wanted to hear them, "Istanbul, Istanbul, I say. Istanbul Istanbul, we are coming," they repeated.

“We arrived at the end of May.

The problem arises on this last line, because if they reach Turkey's "Eastern Gate" at the end of May, they will have it at least 10 days in advance.

This season's Champions League final doesn't take place until June 10 due to the season's interruption during last year's World Cup and rival supporters' willingness to taunt City supporters. "Did UEFA move the final from June to May..." one fan asked jokingly.

"The song is very strange for a group of fans who boo the Champions League anthem and don't want to win," a second fan noted, before adding: "This isn't the final either. in June."

The third asked: "Why did they come to Istanbul at the end of May?"

"Small club behavior. The final in June, maybe the European Cup is not for everyone," replied another fan.

"Late May? Someone told them the finals are in June?" The sixth asked, "You came a little early, didn't you?"

Indeed, if City fans arrive at the end of May, they may even miss their team's final trip to Wembley, which is not uncommon over the years.

If they beat Sheffield United in the semi-finals, they will advance to the FA Cup final on June 3, which could even be their first major final against local rivals Manchester United.

Depending on when they depart at the end of May, those fans could also miss the final day of the Premier League season and potentially their final title-winning film on the final day.

However, they will have plenty of time to explore Istanbul, and it's a great city with great food.
