According to rumors, Cristiano Ronaldo is helping Al Nassr find Zinedine Zidane to be their new manager.
Rudi Garcia, who is rumored to have fought with Ronaldo behind the scenes before his final departure from the club, was fired by Al Nassr, the club announced on Thursday.
After demonstrating their desire to acquire Ronaldo, Al Nassr is rumored to want to pair the star player's arrival with a well-known coach. According to CBS, the Portugal international has been included in discussions regarding potential targets.
The striker's input was taken into consideration when creating the shortlist, which also includes Jose Mourinho, another former Blancos manager, and former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
Since leaving the Spanish capital in 2021, Zidane has remained jobless, and it has long been assumed that he will accept a position with either Paris Saint-Germain or France.
Yet neither of those roles has opened up to this moment, as Didier Deschamps' tenure was extended after France advanced to its second straight World Cup final, while the former hired Christophe Galtier to succeed Mauricio Pochettino last summer.
There are rumors that Zidane has received a verbal offer; Ronaldo is rumored to have participated in those discussions as well, but there is no certainty that the Frenchman will accept the position.
Mourinho has previously been mentioned as a contender by Spanish media outlet AS, which asserted that the current Roma manager might soon receive a two-year contract worth €100 million.
The deal would also provide Mourinho the chance to advance into international management with the Saudi Arabian national squad, making him the highest-paid manager in the world.
Following allegations that Cristiano Ronaldo expressed discontent with Rudi Garcia as manager, Al Nassr has officially announced that they have fired him.
Six months before Ronaldo left Manchester United for Al Nassr, in the summer, Garcia joined the team, but has had trouble getting the most out of the Portugal international.
