Erling Haaland had amusingly unveiled his magic milk elixir, which he claims to have used to score all of his absurd goals this season.

The striker for Manchester City is on pace to break league records this year after scoring 45 goals in 39 appearances for Pep Guardiola's team across all competitions.

The Norwegian striker has now revealed on Twitter that a healthy glass of milk is the secret to his eye-popping stats.

Haaland shared many pictures on his social media pages with the caption, "Me and my magic potion," showing him contentedly sipping from two bottles of his preferred beverage.

To further emphasize his argument on what he sarcastically believes improves his efforts in front of goal, he included a glass of milk and a muscle arm emoji.

Haaland has previously discussed his nutrition, which has allowed him to become one of the most dangerous strikers in the game.

In a documentary titled Haaland: The Big Decision from last year, the 23-year-old described the Hannibal Lecter-style diet. when he mentioned how much he liked to eat large pieces of heart and liver.

Haaland also admitted that, in addition to eating 6,000 calories per day, he uses a sophisticated filter system to drink water, enjoys taking ice baths, and wears glasses that block out blue light to help his sleep.

The most well-known association between milk and football has jumped on Haaland's bandwagon following his most recent admission of his passion for the white stuff.

Fans of a certain era may remember the milk advertisement from the 1980s, which featured two young Liverpool supporters drinking milk and talking about how Reds icon Ian Rush advised the youngster to consume the product to improve his ability to play for Accrington Stanley.

With a generation of football fans quoting the famous phrase "Accrington Stanley, who are they?"

Rush, a former striker, and Accrington Stanley's official Twitter account swiftly quoted tweeted Haaland's article with references to the iconic advertisement.
