Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has urged Gavi to stay with the club beyond this season.
Gavi has been linked with a move to the Premier League, and Chelsea are said to be very fond of the player.
It is thought the Spaniard is upset with Barca for not signing him up in the first team in January.
However, Xavi has advised the 18-year-old to stay with the La Liga giants.
"He wouldn't be as happy at any other team as here. "He's a player that excites me. His future is with Barca," Xavi said.

Mane is said to have punched his German team-mate, and it was announced on Thursday that the striker would not feature in Bayern's squad for this weekend's Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim. Despite Mane's desire to return to the Premier League, the report claims that Liverpool currently have no intention of re-signing the striker.
Mane spent six years with Liverpool after joining Southampton in 2016.
During his time with Merseyside, Mane scored 120 goals and provided 48 assists in 269 games in all competitions.
He also won six trophies during his time at Liverpool, including the Champions League and Premier League.
