Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has urged Gavi to stay with the club beyond this season.
Gavi has been linked with a move to the Premier League, and Chelsea are said to be very fond of the player.
It is thought the Spaniard is upset with Barca for not signing him up in the first team in January.
However, Xavi has advised the 18-year-old to stay with the La Liga giants.
"He wouldn't be as happy at any other team as here. "He's a player that excites me. His future is with Barca," Xavi said.

Despite Mane's desire to return to the Premier League, the report claims that Liverpool currently have no intention of re-signing the striker.
Mane spent six years with Liverpool after joining Southampton in 2016.
