Erik ten Hag 'urgently' wants to sign Jude Bellingham

On Tuesday, it was reported that Liverpool had ended their long-term pursuit of Jude Bellingham, due to the price paid to sign the England international.

With Manchester City and Real Madrid being favorites to sign the 19-year-old, Erik ten Hag is also said to be interested in signing the midfielder this summer.

German football journalist Patrik Berger has claimed the United boss is keen to bring Bellingham to Old Trafford.

He tweeted:

"Real and Man City in the Jude Bellingham race. Understand that Man United has a weaker chance. ETH urgently wants the British star. Three years ago, the midfielder visited Carrington and met Sir Alex.

"But:

Bellingham staying at Dortmund is also not ruled out. BVB still has hope."

Marcus Thuram is moving in for FREE this summer

United have been keen to add a striker to their ranks since the painful departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in November.

And although they have been linked with strikers Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen, who will cost £100m north, a beneficial alternative would be Borussia Monchengladbach's Marcus Thuram. Thuram, who has 44 goals and 27 assists in 133 appearances for Gladbach, is believed to be a target for United and Arsenal and will be offered for free this summer.

Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus has confirmed on the club's website that the 25-year-old and teammate Ramy Bensebaini will leave this summer.

Virkus admits:

"We have spoken openly with both players and are aware of the current situation. It is a pity that they did not renew their contracts which are due to expire as we have both contributed so much to the sport for four years. via.

“Over the last few years we have always had part of our journey to bring in such talented players, to develop them further – and at some point let them go because we can't keep them. forever. "Ideally we would get attractive transfer fees with these transfers. Of course, it wouldn't be good if that doesn't happen now."

Alexis Mac Allister's father opens up about son's future

Ten Hag has been chasing a midfielder since he walked through the door in Carrington.

And Alexis Mac Allister is a player United want alongside Liverpool and Chelsea, with the latter said to have approached the player's camp over a potential deal this summer.

And speaking to Argentine outlet Puro Boca, Mac Allister's father Carlos Mac Allister admitted his son is likely to leave Brighton in the next transfer window.

He said, via Bola VIP:

“Usually the next passbook will see him play at another institution. "We don't know which team, discussions in general have just begun, but it's very likely that Alexis will play for another team next July."

Man Utd and Liverpool bid Caicedo

Mac Allister is not Brighton's only essential midfielder.

United and Liverpool are also said to be pursuing Moises Caicedo, who has played a key role in Brighton's rise to seventh place in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal also saw two offers, worth up to £70m, rejected for the Ecuador international during the January transfer window.

And according to Football Insider, the Seagulls have set their asking price for Caicedo - around £80m.
