Substitute Max Woltman scored late for Liverpool in Premier League 2 as they drew 1-1 with Everton in the Merseyside mini derby on Haig Avenue in Southport.



Woltman came on for Bobby Clark as the young Reds chased a goal in the second half and was ready to score late in the game to nullify Stanley Mills' opener.


The draw means Barry Lewtas' side have closed the gap on third-placed Crystal Palace to four points in Premier League 2 ahead of Saturday's trip to West Ham at the Kirkby Academy.


Everton took the lead after about 10 minutes when Mills put on a superb finish for Marcelo Pitaluga in the Liverpool goal after a pass over Einar Iversen.
