No Manchester United player has scored more than 44 goals in all competitions in a single season since the 1998/99 season. Marcus Rashford is currently the club's top scorer, with 28 goals in all competitions this season. However, Marcus Rashford has now equaled Zlatan Ibrahimovic's scoring record for the club during the 2016/17 season. Moreover, the English striker has equaled Bruno Fernandes' record of 28 goals in the 2020/21 season.

The England striker has surpassed many of Manchester United's top scorers in previous seasons. These top scorers are Anthony Martial (2019/20), Romelu Lukaku (2017/18), Martial (2015/16), Berbatov (2010/11), Wayne Rooney (2013/14, 2014/15, 2006/07 and 2004/05), Dwight Yorke (1999/00), Teddy Sheringham (2000/01) and Cristiano Ronaldo (22/21, 2008/09 and 2006/07). Check out the pictures to see how many goals these Manchester United players have scored in the seasons shown.

If Marcus Rashford scores another goal this season, he will equal Dwight Yorke's scoring record in 1998/99. Moreover, if he scores two more goals, he will equal Van Nistelrooy's goalscoring record in the 2003/04 and 2001/02 seasons, as well as Van Persie's record in the 2012/13 season. It is impossible to know how many goals Rashford will score before the end of the season. However, the Red Devils are still competing in the FA Cup and Europa League. If Rashford scores six more goals this season, he could match Wayne Rooney's scoring record in 2009/10 and 2011/12.

Saka missed a penalty

Arsenal slipped to a two-goal lead again on Sunday, this time against West Ham, leaving them just four points above Manchester City with one game more.

Arsenal arrived at London Stadium knowing they had to win to stay six points ahead of Man City. Mikel Arteta's side got off to a good start with a spectacular team move in the seventh minute that Gabriel Jesus converted after Ben White's serve.

The Gunners did not spare the accelerator, and in the 10th minute, they doubled the lead thanks to Martin Odegaard, who saved Gabriel Martinelli's beautiful cross.

That's when West Ham started pressing. The locals sped up and after half an hour, Paqueta was knocked down by Thomas Partey in the box, Gabriel knocked out his countryman and the referee pointed to the spot. Benrahma defeated Ramsdale to regain a table for his side.

Saka misses as Bowen finishes title race

The second half saw Arsenal regain the offensive position. Arteta's side were rewarded for their many chances with an Antonio handball and the referee penalized by scoring. Fate was grim for Saka, who again missed a crucial penalty that kept West Ham alive. Just two minutes later, Kehrer's ball into the box caught the Arsenal defense off guard and Bowen used the opportunity to equalize with an unstoppable left-footed volley past Ramsdale.

The match was played from start to finish with chances for both teams, who despite their tenacity were unable to turn the game in their favor.

Arsenal have taken a two-goal lead for the second straight game and Manchester City are now just four points behind with one game less.
