Manchester United returned to the Premier League on Sunday night as they marched to City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest later in the day. The Red Devils are eager to find a winning streak after a sad draw against Sevilla in the Europa League. The Reds took the lead in the first half thanks to Antony's goal.

They ventured into the second half with the main objective of killing the game to avoid what happened against Sevilla. Manchester United doubled the lead from very deep in the second half, when Antony set up Diogo Dalot for the second. However, the Manchester United players have been at their best despite the recent injury crisis.

Everyone was calm throughout the game and was able to take out Nottingham Forest in the second half. David De has been brilliant and could keep another clean sheet to take his total to 14 in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham Hotspur fans booed their players as Newcastle United prepare to face their top four opponents this weekend

Newcastle United are licking their wounds after a humiliating 3-0 loss to Aston Villa, but this Saturday's clash with Tottenham Hotspur offers the perfect chance to recover. The north London side failed to close the gap with the Magpies over the weekend and continue to stumble at almost every corner in their quest for a place in the top four.

Spurs opened the scoring at home to Bournemouth on Saturday before conceding twice amid poor performances. Arnaut Danjuma thought he saved a point for Cristian Stellini's side in the 89th minute before Bournemouth's Dango Ouattara scored a last-minute winner for the visitors.

It has been a disastrous campaign for Tottenham, who sacked Antonio Conte last month after a tumultuous tenure, and Saturday's loss was another weak point. Tottenham are currently without defenders Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies through injury, while Clement Lenglet was withdrawn at half-time against the Cherries. His replacement, Davinson Sanchez, was greeted with lots of boos from his own fans before he came on and was booed completely 23 minutes later when he himself was substituted. .

Sanchez appeared shaky from the start, missing a pass for Pedro Porro three minutes after coming on, helping Bournemouth equalize. A disastrous performance quickly took him out of Stellini's sights in the second half. Porro also deactivated his social media accounts following a wave of post-match abuse. "I've never seen this in my career," Lloris told beIN Sports. "I feel really bad for Davinson. He's a teammate, he's a friend and he's been fighting for the club for many years now.

"It's sad. Sad story for the club, for the fans, for the players. That's something you don't want to see in football."

Tottenham's defensive problems could affect Newcastle this weekend with Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson both in fine form in recent weeks. The first was given the green light at Villa Park on Saturday, with Wilson launched early in the second half.

There is some debate among Newcastle fans as to whether the pair should have been used together in the first place. Eddie Howe will no doubt wonder if this weekend is the perfect time to try to exploit Spurs' wobbly defence.

"The decisions are very difficult at the moment, we have two excellent strikers," said the Newcastle boss after choosing Isak to start. “I think Alex's form over the last six weeks has been fantastic, he's scored goals, assisted and he's really got the nod today in terms of decision.

"Everything is good at the moment. They understand the situation where we don't really want to change form at the start of the game but we can do it on the run.

"We can put both on the pitch at the same time. I'm happy to have that flexibility and option because I haven't had that all season - they're two important players for us. we."
