Three potential additions for Barcelona's attack in the upcoming season -- report

Although Joan Laporta claimed there are no transition seasons at a club like Barcelona during the run-up to his presidential campaign, that assertion is untrue.

Barcelona is currently going through a moment of change after releasing a number of players who were no longer needed during the last two summers. New players, a new coach, and a far more rational way of thinking about making decisions.

While the Catalans signed a number of players in the summer of 2022, including Jules Kounde, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski, among others, it is anticipated that they will be aggressive in the summer of 2023.

The recent two goalless draws against Girona and Getafe have shown that Barcelona also needs to deepen their offensive. Positions like right-back, defensive midfield, and central midfield are in need of reinforcement.

According to Victor Malo, Mateu Alemany and Xavi are already working to improve the forward line with three goals in mind: Yannick Carrasco, Ez Abde, and a number nine.

If everything goes as planned, this is what Barcelona's attack might look like the next season.

Right-wing: Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha

Raphinha's presence has done nothing less than help the team, even though Ousmane Dembele is unquestionably Xavi's first-choice right-winger. The Brazilian is making life difficult for Dembouz in that position with six goals and four assists in 27 league outings.

Raphinha has been linked to a summer exit due to his patchy play, but Xavi reportedly has no intention of allowing the former Leeds United player leave this early. He has ambitions for the upcoming season.

Dembele is anticipated to sign a longer contract extension at the same time.

Striker: Lewandowski and Thuram/Roque/Aubameyang

Robert Lewandowski is still the top scorer in La Liga with 17 goals in 25 appearances, despite only scoring four goals in his past ten league games. However, he frequently shoulders an excessive amount of the goal-scoring responsibility for Barça and urgently needs some support.

Here, either Marcus Thuram, Vitor Roque, or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are the targets for Barcelona.

Thuram is expected to become a free agent in the summer, but he has not yet made up his mind. The Frenchman, who can also play as a left winger, is being watched by Barcelona, and his father has openly stated that a transfer to the Camp Nou would be enormous.

Roque, though, bears a transfer fee of almost €50 million, and Barcelona hopes to sign him. which Barcelona hope to divide into installments. It is clear, though, that he is their chosen target for the CF position in the long-term.

Finally, the most intriguing case is Aubameyang's. He currently has a contract with Chelsea, who won't let him depart on his own terms. The Gabonese, who is set to seek for a return, hasn't found a home at Stamford Bridge.

He is willing to drastically reduce his salary to expedite the transfer and is in great standing with both Xavi and the administration.

Left-wing: Yannick Carrasco and Ez Abde

The current obvious choices on the left wing under Xavi are Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati. They have combined for seven goals this season, although both have generally struggled offensively. All indications lean to leaving the Camp Nou in the summer.

Ez Abde and Yannick Carrasco are anticipated to take their place. In theory, both processes are rather straightforward, but La Liga must approve them.

As part of the agreement to transfer Memphis Depay, Barcelona presently holds the option to acquire Carrasco in the summer for less than €20 million. They will want to hire him for no more than €9–10 million, though.

Abde, a Moroccan player who is still under contract with Barcelona, is now at Osasuna on loan. His loan stint has impressed the coaching staff thus far, and they intend to keep him on for the upcoming campaign.

If rumours are to be believed, a few Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in Abde, but Barcelona will only consider selling him if a good offer comes in.
