Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could have done more to save West Ham's equalizer in Sunday's 2-2 draw in east London.
Jarrod Bowen thwarted his attempt against Ramsdale to secure a point for the Hammers. This is a blow to Arsenal's hopes of winning the Premier League.
Ramsdale put on an impressive performance in a 2-2 draw against Liverpool last week and almost single-handedly earned a point for his side.
But he couldn't repeat those feats this time as Carragher shared his opinion on Bowen's goal while commenting.
"Gabriel (Magalhaes) didn't know Bowen was there," Carragher told Sky Sports. “The ball had more hope but Gabriel just let it go. The goalkeeper (Ramsdale) was great last week, he had to make a save.
Carragher has also warned Arsenal that they must beat Manchester City at the Etihad on April 26 to claim their first premier league title since 2004.
"You just think Arsenal would have to go to Manchester City and win it now if they want to win the title," he added.
Fellow pundits Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink shared their views on Arsenal's season after the game.
"This title race always starts at Anfield," Neville said. 'Look at the devices.
"But they'll break your arm if you're in that position at the start of the season. Arsenal finishing second will still be a great season.
Kien added:
'No chance. They have been at the top of the rankings for the whole season. It will be a terrible season. “They were eliminated from all cup competitions. 2-0 this week, 2-0 today. It was a big disappointment.
Hasselbaink, meanwhile, said:
"I think when you're at Man City and you're under pressure, they get the job done."
“They can continue the season to win. Arsenal have not yet marched to Newcastle. 'You are not allowed to lose points today. It will be more painful than losing to Man City. No matter how early the season is. To lose now would be a disaster.
