Real Madrid star stormed Twitter with an embarrassing fall against Cadiz

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has been charged with an embarrassing tackle during the team's 2-0 win over Cadiz.

His theatrical play was enough for referee Jesús Gil Manzano to show a yellow card to Ruben Alcaraz.

Although Madrid are 13 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona heading into this match and having a crucial Champions League draw with Chelsea on Tuesday, Carlo Ancelotti unleashed a strong squad on Saturday night.

The Italian side dominated for 90 minutes, unleashing 35 shots on goal.

However, they had to wait until the 72nd minute to open the scoring, when unlikely goal scorer Nacho Fernandez hit a low shot from just outside the box. Madrid doubled the lead just four minutes later when Marco Asensio scored his second goal in as many games, completing a deft move.

But despite their impressive display in their win, one of the most shocking moments of the game came when former Arsenal star Ceballos beat Alcaraz with a nasty fall. tiger.

In the first 30 minutes, the Spaniard received the ball on the left flank of Nuevo Mirandilla.

He wanted to get past two Cadiz defenders, but his third touch was heavy and went far away from him.

Alcaraz stepped in to eliminate him, performing a neat spin to break free of Ceballos and fly into space. But when he ran straight to get the ball down the field, the referee ended the proceedings and fined the 31-year-old while Ceballos lay on the ground.

Alcaraz was clearly shocked and angry when the referee showed him a yellow card, and the replays show exactly why.

As he walked away, Ceballos fell to the ground clutching his face.

If Alcaraz had hit him, a yellow card would have been perfectly reasonable – except that there was absolutely no head-on collision.

You can check out the footage for yourself below - hopefully Ceballos makes a speedy recovery.
