Conor Gallagher, a midfielder for Chelsea, will decide on his future at Stamford Bridge after he knows what the team's new manager has in store for him, according to 90min.
The Blues academy graduate has been a regular for Chelsea this season but has struggled to hold down a permanent starting spot, with only 12 of his 28 Premier League appearances coming as a starter. He will enter the final two years of his contract this summer.
Since Enzo Fernandez joined in January and Chelsea is still looking for a new midfielder, a number of Premier League clubs have declared their interest in acquiring Gallagher should the opportunity arise.
As Gallagher nears what may be a career crossroads, 90min is aware that Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Leicester are all keeping an eye on him.
Gallagher may need to decide on his future in the coming weeks because Chelsea is reluctant to let any players approach the final two years of their contracts.
According to sources who spoke to 90min, Gallagher won't make a decision until he has spoken with the new management of the team. While Luis Enrique has already spoken with Blues officials, Julian Nagelsmann just met with them to explore the role.
The 23-year-old is said to think he still has a future at Chelsea, but he would need guarantees from the incoming manager on playing time. At this stage of his career, Gallagher is not said to be demanding a regular starting position but is eager to be given a prominent role in the squad.
He therefore intends to consult the new manager before making a choice, and young center back Levi Colwill will do the same.
After his loan with Brighton expires, Colwill will return to Chelsea in the summer. He still has two years left on his contract. Club officials want Colwill to be a part of the first team next season, but the 20-year-old will wait for confirmation from the new manager before making a decision about his future. Liverpool and Manchester City are two teams willing to make an effort to entice Colwill away from Stamford Bridge.
