In response to claims that the club paid the business run by a former LaLiga referee, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has vehemently defended the organization.

Real Madrid, who Joan Laporta referred to as "the team of the regime," was allegedly always given preferential treatment by referees.

In response to claims that Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, the former vice-president of the technical committee of referees, received payments from Barcelona, the club's president addressed at a press conference on Monday to vehemently defend the organization.

UEFA is looking into the club, and Spanish prosecutors are investigating accusations for alleged corruption. Barca is charged with paying a corporation owned by Negreira more than €7 million.

But, Laporta argued that Barcelona had nothing to answer for as he sought to focus attention on rivals Real Madrid.

Laporta stated, "I want to name a club that decided on its own to show up in court when the trial begins.

"A club complaining that they were mistreated.

Real Madrid is a team that arbitration rulings have historically favored.

both previously and today.

a group that, because of its connection to the current power structure, has been referred to as the team of the regime.

Because they were close to the political and financial power, they formed the system's team. It's important to note that over the past seven decades, the vast majority of the heads of the technical committee of referees have been current or former Real Madrid members or players.

"For 70 years, former Real Madrid players or staff members designated the referees. In some circumstances, all of those concurrently.

"This trial will be used to remove their masks so that they may testify in court and claim they were mistreated during the best moment in Barcelona's history. It's an act of impudence unlike any other.

Barcelona has always been a model of fair play, both on and off the field, throughout our 123-year history, he claimed.

"Effort, talent, and expertise have surely contributed to our success over the years.

"No effort to denigrate us will stop us from remaining a sporting organization of note that is adored and respected by millions of Catalans as well as by many more millions of people worldwide.
