A year ago
Nigerian music duo Peter and Paul popularly psquare is currently trending on the popular micro-blogging platform Twitter after a post was made revealing they were one of the highest-paid artists billed to perform at shows in 2012. A popular account on the platform @AfricaFactsZone known for the compiling of facts about Africa made this revelation through a tweet posted in their 900k plus account. The platform is owned by business mogul Isimah Odeh. The tweet posted is quoted below;
P-Square once had Africa's highest booking fee for years. They were paid $300,000 to perform at a show in Ghana in December 2012 according to a Peace FM Online report. They charged $80,000 for a show in France in February 2012.
The post quickly went viral and users began adding comments specifically about how the two blood brothers broke apart for years after toiling to succeed in the music scene. They reunited in 2022 and even went on tours, the two duos have separately also released songs. Some of the comments shared by users are gathered below;

B4 u talk, just know $300,000 was no money in
Ghana during that moment because of the low
inflation so it was easy to pay them.. but as at
now, it gon b a problem... Ghana is now expensive

There's just something in Ghana that clicks so
well for almost all the Nigerian top artists. They
mostly come straight to Ghana for shows before
the rest of the world. No wonder they love Ghana
