In 2019, Benin Republic's Agriculture Minister, Cossi Gaston Dossouhoui burst into tears, after President Talon announced that Benin became Africa's largest cotton producer. The Minister made the news for the emotional display of his love for his job. His action won the hearts of many because most leaders in Africa are most often tagged as corrupt and money spenders who do not care about the people and the economy of their various countries.
The event which happened in 2019 resurfaced online a few days ago through a Twitter account notable for the complaining of some of the most interesting stories and facts about Africa @Africafactszone. Most people who might not have heard the news when it went viral in 2019 took to the comments section to add their reactions, most of them praised the minister for his love for his country, while others hit back at their leaders, a few of the reactions a highlighted below;

“Nigerians do not believe in these kinds of goals &
aspirations o, it's about who can be innovative,
optimistic, persistent, intelligent, and capable to
create ingenious avenues to loot the most out of a
given parastatal. If he doesn't do this, his name
might be tarnished in there”.

“I might be wrong but these look like a sign of a
man deeply interested & involved in bettering the
lives of the people I wish more leaders, top civil servants & above all, THE MASSES of Black Africa (& other developing regions) will have such a burden on their hearts to do better”.

“Nigerian leaders only cry during elections ‚once
they win if 2000 Nigerians die or go missing they
won't even shed sand that's the country I'm living
in now and it's just lovely”.
@nlsengwayo
“One day is one day!! That will be me with
Zimbabwe is Africa's largest exporter of beef,
chevon, wheat, citrus, sugar, soya bean, and
macadamia…it's only a matter of time. We will
reclaim our glory”.
Although some may argue that, his act of shedding tears during the declaration may not be a point of his loving his job, most users believe it might be the main reason why.
