Liverpool gave up on the pursuit of Jude Bellingham and are now focused on acquiring Chelsea's Mason Mount.

There are rumors that Jurgen Klopp and the club's management plan to rebuild the roster, which means Liverpool will have a busy off-season.

Their alternatives in the midfield, which can be traced to linkages to several players, is one of the crucial areas to improve.

Last week, it was reported that Liverpool had ended its pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

REDS TO RAMP UP MOUNT INTEREST IS THE TOP STORY

After failing to reach an agreement with Chelsea, Mason Mount's agent, The Guardian reports that Liverpool will step up their efforts to recruit him.

Given Dortmund's asking price, the Reds have now moved on from Bellingham and are now focusing on Mount, whose contract expires at the end of this season.

Liverpool is eager to capitalize and entice the 24-year-old England international to Anfield, but Mount has given no indication that he would extend his Chelsea contract.
