The heat is off for Tuesday's second leg for Napoli after their 1-0 loss to Milan at the San Siro.

According to head coach Luciano Spalletti, Napoli will take "no risks" in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Milan.

Napoli has advanced to the round of eight of Europe's best club competition in addition to their Serie A supremacy this season, which has them in contention for their first league title since the 1989–90 campaign.

Yet Ismael Bennacer's goal gave Spalletti's team a 1-0 loss in the first leg last week at San Siro, and midfielder Frank Zambo Anguissa was also sent off, depriving the Partenopei of one of their important players as they attempt to come back from the one-goal deficit on Tuesday at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, Spalletti thinks Napoli should enter the match with confidence and not feeling under pressure. He told reporters at his pre-match press conference: "At this point, just being in the Champions League is significant.

"We will play to win because we want to advance and succeed. We'll then see where we wind up.

"We think we can accomplish more. The only risk in tomorrow's game is that we might experience endless delight. If you succeed, your journey continues."

Despite having more shots, possession, and attempts on goal than their opponents at San Siro, Napoli still lost. According to Spalletti, his team will need to repeat that performance at home.

We must go as we did in the first leg, where we had a minor disadvantage, remarked Spalletti. "In general, I anticipate the first leg's performance.

"I am confident that only when we perform at a high level, when we are intense, when we are good at discovering those spaces and moving out of them as quickly as possible, can major scenarios be produced.

As the squad deserves to perform well, I believe it will be the same tomorrow night.

Only Real Madrid (14) has won the Champions League more times than Milan's seven, therefore Napoli is attempting to come from behind against one of the league's most successful clubs.
