Recent high-profile Chelsea signing unlikely to remain for the upcoming campaign

According to Steve Kay of Football Transfers, Chelsea is not planning to make Joao Felix's loan move permanent. The Portuguese forward arrived in January with much hype, but he hasn't made much of an impact in his time at Stamford Bridge. Although Felix has shown immense potential in the past, his form has been poor at both Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, which may have contributed to Chelsea's decision not to make his loan move permanent.

Chelsea's season has been a disappointment overall, with the team set to finish in mid-table and without any silverware, despite spending vast sums of money in the transfer market. Felix was one of many big names brought in by Chelsea in January, following a busy summer. However, the club's transfers have not had the desired effect, and it's possible that barely anyone in the squad is safe this summer.

Chelsea's recent match against Real Madrid was a tense affair, with both teams failing to score. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel defended his lineup, saying that he had picked players who had "big energy" and "big organisation." He felt that his team had played well for 60 minutes and had created several good chances to score. However, he acknowledged that Real Madrid is a "fantastic transition team" and that his team had to be careful not to concede any goals.

Tuchel also expressed frustration with the officiating, particularly with regard to a tackle by Real Madrid's Eder Militao. Tuchel felt that the tackle deserved a second yellow card, which would have resulted in Militao's ejection from the game. He also felt that the officials had not allowed enough time in the first half, which may have prevented Chelsea from scoring a goal. Despite his frustrations, Tuchel did not blame the officiating for the result of the match.

Overall, it seems that Chelsea's season has been a disappointment, with the club struggling to live up to its expectations. While there may be some hope for the future, it's clear that the team needs to make significant changes if it wants to compete at the highest level.
