Cristiano Ronaldo pulls his GENITALS in response to Lionel Messi shouts on an emotional night

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr suffered another setback on Thursday night, putting them in danger of losing this season's Saudi Pro League crown to rivals Al-Ittihad.

During an ill-tempered Saudi Pro League game, Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to make an obscene gesture towards opposing fans.

Ronaldo's Al-Nassr were defeated 2-0 at Al-Hilal on Thursday night, leaving them three points behind leaders Al-Ittihad in the title race despite having played one more game. Ronaldo has had another difficult evening in Saudi Arabia, as his slow slide continues.

Throughout the match, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, 38, was blasted with chants of Lionel Messi's name from Al-Hilal supporters. Messi, 35, is expected to join Al-Hilal when his contract with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer.

As Ronaldo exited the King Fahd International Stadium, he was met with boos and cries of "Messi" from the home crowd. The Portugal international then grabbed his genitals, making a vulgar gesture toward the fans.

At this point, it's unclear whether Ronaldo's behavior was deliberate.

On Thursday night, Ronaldo, who left Manchester United by mutual consent in November, had a game to forget. Al-Nassr needed to win Al-Hilal to stay ahead of Al-Ittihad, but they fell behind 1-0 after former Watford player Odion Ighalo scored a penalty.

When Ronaldo tackled Gustavo Cuellar around the neck, he was fortunate to escape with a yellow card because referee Michael Oliver gave the superstar the benefit of the doubt. Ighalo's second-half penalty put the game out of reach.

Ronaldo's annoyance was increased when he was ruled offside after scoring. Despite being two points ahead of Al-Ittihad when Ronaldo made his debut, Al-Nassr currently face missing out on the Saudi Pro League title.

The veteran's record in Saudi Arabia is excellent, with 11 goals and two assists in just 11 league games, but he may face criticism if Al-Nassr fails to win the championship. During his second stint at Old Trafford, Ronaldo was accused of making Man United worse.
