Ghanaian forex trader born Bright Opoku Onipayede better known publicly and in the forex trading marking as Kojo Forex sues Ghanaian blogger and critic Nat Albert Hyde better known as “Bongo Ideas” over defamatory claims. Kojo Forex is a well-known and successful forex trader known for giving tutorials about trading signals on his Youtube and Telegram channels was engaged in a social media brawl with the “Bongo ideas” after the latter claimed Kojo Forex was a fraudster who is just covering up his bad works with forex trading.
He went ahead and posted pictures of Kojo forex in what seemed like a police station and in cuffs and revealed that, video was to be dropped soon and full details also, but any if that did not happen. Today, the 21st of April, Kojo Forex posted a court statement demanding “Bongo ideas” to formally apologise to “Kojo Forex” and retract all the defamatory words used against him on the same platform he said them (TWITTER).

Dear Albert Nathaniel Hyde
We are writing to you in our capacity as Solicitors for and on behalf of Bright Kojo Onipayede (our "Client") in respect of the above subject matter. Our Client informs us that he runs a YouTube channel through which he offers tutorials to his followers about the techniques of retail forex trading as well as an academy where he offers paid courses on retail forex trading. According to our Client, he has garnered a large following on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram consisting of people both in Ghana and abroad. It is our understanding that from 28 February 2023, you have maliciously been publishing inaccurate and misleading information on your Twitter page in reference to our Client, which are damaging to his personal and professional character and making the right-thinking public to think less of him.
According to our Client, you have repeatedly published statements in which you falsely described him as a fraudster and being involved in a Ponzi scheme as well as other dishonest business dealings. A few of the statements have been reproduced below;
'I hate to give FX fraudsters like @KojoForex a bite of my so-called "ill-gotten clout. But a Ponzi-schemer who steals from people & comes online to proudly show off deserves some hooting. Pay the people you've defrauded first, & let's see if I could consider you for a beefing." "Forex trading alone did not get you these things. You do other shady business. If you
legitimately make so much, why charge to teach? Tell the world the truth, or I will. The FX thingy is just a small part of the secretive online business empire (I will explain later) he runs. His profits from FX, as he makes it seem, do not come because he's a genius in the game. There are oldgees in the game who will tell you that he's a liar. The likes of Elvis Justice dems have
been in his business for so long, but you never see them flex (lie) online. Don't fall for the social media antics. You'll be soon disappointed that FX is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Only the Ponzi schemers make it seem so, which he is. As for the number of people he's duped, sold fake lessons to, and the nitty-gritty of his illicit online money-making empire, that's a conversation for another day. More episodes are loading!"
It is our instruction that the statements you have published about our Client are untrue, and without merit whatsoever. Our Client considers these statements to be reckless and exceedingly defamatory, and have caused him significant reputational harm.
In the circumstance, we have our Client's instructions to give you notice and demand from you, which
we hereby do, that;
a) you immediately cease and desist from making and publishing any false and defamatory statement or content about our Client, and
b) you retract the said statements and render an unqualified apology through the same medium
you published the defamatory statements within twenty-four (24) hours of your receipt of this
letter. Please take notice that should you fail to have regard to our Client's demand within the stated period,
we have our Client's firm instructions to take appropriate legal action against you to retract the
defamatory statements and claim damages for the harm caused without further notice to you. This letter is addressed to you without any prejudicial recognition and with reservation of all rights. Be advised accordingly.
