Troubled Blues face 10-man summer exodus as players tell agents to seal exits

Chelsea Football Club is facing a tough period with reports indicating that at least 10 players are considering their future at the club following their exit from the Champions League. The team’s poor season has been attributed to an unsettled dressing room, with some players reportedly facing pay cuts of more than 30% for a season outside the Champions League.

According to sources, a sizable group of Chelsea players have already instructed their agents to find alternative clubs, and they could end up joining Premier League rivals. The club's current position in the Premier League table, which is 11th, has made European qualification almost impossible for next season. This, combined with the recent loss in the Champions League, has left players feeling disheartened.

The club's medical department has also undergone changes, leading to injury problems among players, which has resulted in concerns from the team. Additionally, the club's bloated squad, which consists of 32 players, has set them up for failure, according to some of the players.

Chelsea is currently looking to trim their squad by at least eight players before the pre-season to make it more manageable for the next head coach. The club is, however, not willing to sell some of its younger stars to rival clubs, with Mason Mount priced at £70million despite having only one year left on his contract. They are also insisting on not selling Brighton loan star Levi Colwill.

The Boehly-Clearlake ownership group will have a difficult few months convincing players such as Kai Havertz and N'Golo Kante to renew their contracts while trying to move on players they would rather sell, including Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kalidou Koulibaly, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, and Edouard Mendy.

In conclusion, Chelsea Football Club is currently facing a difficult period, with players considering their futures at the club. The club will have to work hard to retain its star players and convince them to renew their contracts while moving on players that they do not require. With pre-season looming, it will be interesting to see how the club handles this situation and what steps it takes to ensure a successful future.
