PRE-MATCH BRIEFING: Asante Kotoko vs Aduana stars 

The Porcupine Warriors host the league leaders, Aduana Stars at the Babayara Sports Stadium on Sunday evening in a matchday 27 fixture. 

This is going a crucial duel as it will help give a clearer picture as to whether or not we are ready to defend our title.

We've had a difficult season so far, but giving up on our title aspiration shouldn't be an option; we are Asante Kotoko, the Pride of Ashanti and we must fight till the very end. 

We are going to approach the last eight games with all the seriousness it deserves and on Sunday evening, we should demonstrate this resolve.

Beating Aduana Stars will reduce the points difference between us and them to five points with 21 points to fight for. 

Kotoko is yet to lose to Aduana Stars in the league in our last four meetings. We played a goalless draw game earlier this year in the first round at Dormaa. 

Although, the club has been very inconsistent with its results, we expect this match to bring the needed spark as we work to end the season strongly and retain our title.

It is going to be an extremely difficult match but we hope Coach Gazale and his boys will rise to the occasion and play above themselves to win the match.

Our captain Richard Boadu and Eric Zeze who missed our game against Chelsea through suspension are back in the team. 

Matheus De Souza, Nicolas Osei Bonsu and Justice Blay are all out of the game due to injuries.
