An emotional Pablo Fornals helped ease West Ham's relegation fears on Sunday with a cheeky scorpion kick against Bournemouth in the Premier League.

As of the time of this writing, David Moyes' side are six points away from the relegation zone after a strong 4-0 win over struggling Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.

Michail Antonio opened the scoring early for the Hammers, who had a memorable week following positive results against Arsenal and AA Gent.

Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta quickly doubled the lead in the 12th minute before Declan Rice in high form scored three goals for the visitors.

Then, with the game over and in smoke, Hammers playmaker Pablo Fornals decided to score one of the goals of the weekend after a brilliant wing-coach from Jarrod Bowen. As you can see in the images below, Fornals managed to adjust his body before acrobically throwing his right boot at the ball.

He then appeared to be in tears as he celebrated with his teammates.

One fan commented on this goal:

"Olivier Giroud, is that you? What struck Pablo Fornals," while another wrote:

"Honestly, I don't think I like Pablo Fornals more."

The third added:

"Pablo Fornals needs a spot in the West Ham squad right now. This goal will give him a lot of confidence to start. What an ending."

Fornals, who signed for West Ham from Villarreal in 2019 for a fee of 24m, has scored five goals in 41 appearances under David Moyes this season.
