Crook Garth
At the end of each round, BBC football expert Garth Crooks will be on hand to introduce his team for the week.
With the Premier League and FA Cup semi-finals taking place this week, who has he picked at this point? Take a look, then choose your own team below and share it on social media. As always, Garth also has his say on the main points of gameplay in Crooks of the Matter.
Garth's team of the week
Jordan Pickford (Everton):
If Everton hope to survive this season and stay in the Premier League, they will need Jordan Pickford at his best. Regular readers will know that I prefer Newcastle's Nick Pope in goal for England, but Pickford's form has certainly improved. England's number one seems to have solved the concentration problems that often lead to conceding goals. Against Crystal Palace, there was little sign that the former Pickford repeatedly came to the rescue for Everton and in the end, the goalkeeper responsible helped the Toffees leave with a valuable point.
Timo Castagne (Leicester):
That's a big three for Leicester. I still struggle with Brendan Rodgers leaving the King Power Stadium but Leicester fans tell me he has to go. Okay, but replacing Rodgers with Dean Smith after his disappointing stint at Norwich - what kind of date is that? The person Smith brought to the Leicester City dressing room, as part of his management team, was John Terry. The former England captain certainly knows everything you need to know about the art of defense and they will need his experience for the rest of their games. Leicester made it difficult for Wolves and, I must admit, looked more organized. Their winning goal came from Timothy Castagne. A right-footed full-back with a left-footed finish in open play. Jamie Vardy couldn't have done it better.
Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace):
The ball that Jordan Ayew crossed from Marc Guehi in the opening situation of the match was excellently executed by the Crystal Palace midfielder. You don't often see such cultivated passes made by centre-backs - they are usually five-meter passes, a desperate forward kick or a square ball that sends another player off. had a similar problem. It's the kind of pass that gets people to sit up and take notice. So did his challenge with Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The Palace defender did just enough to force the Everton centre-back to hit the shot as he was about to put the ball in the net. Meanwhile, Palace continue their promotion with a coach unlikely to be with them next season. For example, Vincent Kompany would be a much better choice for them than Chelsea. Read why I think owners running Stamford Bridge need to master Crooks of the Matter below. Victor Lindelof (Manchester United):
I initially selected Luke Shaw in my squad after what I thought was a superb performance against Brighton at centre-back in a role that is becoming more familiar to today's England international. However, I cannot ignore Victor Lindelof, who not only excelled in the FA Cup semi-final, was not in the Manchester United starting line-up for most of the season, but he later scored the winning goal. determined on the penalty spot. penalty shootout.
