Mohamed Salah is enjoying another brilliant season in front of Liverpool goal

Mohamed Salah continued his rise on Liverpool's all-time scorers list on Saturday afternoon after his decisive strike brought three points against Nottingham Forest.

Salah has now scored 183 goals for the Red Devils, the same number as Robbie Fowler. Only 5 players have scored more goals than the Egyptian while playing for the club.

Blamed by some for having a poor season by his own standards, the 30-year-old has scored 27 goals in all competitions this season and will continue to add to that number in the coming weeks. next week.

Having broken multiple records during his six years at Merseyside, the former AS Roma winger will no doubt look at other ways to rewrite history as a Liverpool player. With that in mind, we've looked at six possible options below:

Most goals scored in a season - Ian Rush (47)

Salah is close to matching Ian Rush's brilliant 1983/84 season, which saw the Welshman score a total of 47 goals in 65 appearances in all competitions, in his debut season at Anfield.

Surpassing all expectations, the Egypt international scored 44 goals in 52 appearances to help Liverpool reach the Champions League final and finish third in the Premier League.

Most goals scored in a year - Ian Rush (44, 1986)

Rush may have scored 47 goals in the 1983/84 season but had his most prolific year in 1986 when he broke through the opposition defense 44 times. Salah's best year for the Reds was 2018, in which he scored 37 goals as a stark warning to opponents of what was to come.

Most goals in a game - (5, five players)

One record may be harder to break than another, although Liverpool's No 11 has come close to scoring all five goals in a five-man-managed game in the past. Salah scored four goals in an all-out 5-0 home win over Watford in March 2018, an unforgettable performance by the striker.

Most Champions League appearances for Liverpool - (Jamie Carragher, 91)

In his first year since joining the club, Salah's Champions League spot is at stake. Having featured in Europe's elite league for the previous five seasons, Liverpool looked set to miss out on qualifying after a disappointing year.

Now with 66 Champions League appearances as a Reds player, it's possible Jamie Carragher's enduring record will improve if Salah stays for a few more years.

Liverpool have scored the most hat-tricks in the Premier League - (Robbie Fowler, 9)

More surprisingly, Salah has only had four Premier League hat-tricks since signing with the club. Watford, Bournemouth, Leeds United and Manchester United were the teams that felt the full force of his attacking play, with the hat-trick against the latter certainly being the most memorable.

Robbie Fowler leads the way in that regard with nine hat-tricks in his Liverpool career, a number just behind Alan Shearer (11) and Sergio Aguero (12) in Premier League history.

Most penalties scored in the Premier League - (Steven Gerrard, 32)

Letting himself down in that respect, the 2019 Champions League winner missed all three of his previous Premier League penalties. Seeing his effort thwarted by Kasper Schmeichel in a surprise 0-1 loss to Leicester City last season, Salah was unlucky.
