Casemiro shows his elite mentality by offering to take the first penalty, Man United fans loved it

Manchester United fans loved Casemiro when he offered to take the first penalty of their penalty shootout against Brighton in the FA Cup.



United will face Manchester City in the FA Cup final after a dramatic win over Brighton on Saturday.


After 120 minutes of play, the semi-final turned to a penalty shootout after a deadlock at Wembley Stadium.


And as the teams regrouped before the penalty shootout, a video emerged showing Erik ten Hag and Steve McClaren asking who wanted to take the first kick.

Without hesitation, Casemiro raised his hand and took responsibility for the first kick. His elite spirit paid off as he distracted Robert Sanchez, calmly taking his penalty.



Needless to say, the Brazilian midfielder's actions before the penalty shootout sent a frenzy on social media as United fans praised his spirit.


One Twitter user wrote:

"He was offered to take the first penalty and score, Casemiro is a top leader. We all know the referees target him and I'm sure that also degrades it at times. his confidence."

It wasn't the only thing he did in the penalty shootout when a fan caught his bizarre antics.


Man United's 7-6 penalty shootout win means they will face long-distance rivals Man City on June 3.
