It was again a somewhat positive weekend for many of the Super Eagles and their clubs. Victor Osimhen and Napoli scored an important away win that moved them closer to the league title, while Peter Olayinka helped Slavia Prague overtake Sparta Prague at the top of the table. But some Super Eagles like Samuel Chukwueze, Gift Orban and Terem Moffi all lost to their respective teams. However, the players who performed well were enough to provide us with the best squad at the weekend.
Goalie
Adebayo Adeleye
Hapoel Jerusalem's winning streak ended last Saturday. Adeleye couldn't help his team this time as he conceded two goals in his team's loss. He remains the chosen goalkeeper on the list as Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye have not played for their clubs for a while.
defender
Kingsley Ehizibue
Udinese ended a three-match winless streak on Sunday with a convincing 3-0 win over Cremonese. Ehizibue plays as a winger for Udinese and is very effective for the Italian team, both in defense and attack.
Kenneth Omeruo
In a game where he tried his best, Omeruo lost as Leganes were beaten 2-1 away. The defender made 10 saves and 3 interceptions in the match. He even provided the assist for Leganes' only goal.
Igoh Ogbou
Ogbu has become a mainstay of Slavia Prague's program. The 23-year-old cemented his place in the team with another change in defence on Saturday, helping Slavia seal a 3-0 win. Since Ogbu moved to Slavia earlier this year, his team has only lost once with him on the field. chidozie awaziem
After sitting on the bench for the past few weeks, Awaziem has finally been recalled to the Hajduk Split starting line-up this weekend. The defender made sure he took advantage of this opportunity to prove himself by delivering a flawless defensive performance. His team won 2-0, their first win since earlier this month.
midfielder
Alex Iwobi
Everton's search for their first win in more than a month continued at the weekend after receiving a goalless draw against Crystal Palace. However, the draw did not overshadow Iwobi's good form. Raphael Onyedika
Club Brugge beat KAS Eupen 7-0 in the Belgian league this weekend. Onyedika started the winning team and arranged everything in midfield until he had to leave the field in the second half due to injury.
Kelechi Iheanacho
Iheanacho scored twice in two games to help Leicester City win their first win since February. The striker successfully took the penalty in the first half and played for 85 minutes.
the attacker
Isaac's Success
In the end, it was the decisive moment for Saturday Success. The striker scored his first goal of the season as Udinese won 3-0 at home. After failing to win the last 3 matches, Udinese is currently 9th in the table.
Stephen Ody
Randers won a resounding 4-0 win over Brondby at the weekend. And it was Odey who opened the scoring before setting up the second goal.
Pierre Olayinka
Olayinka has scored 10 goals this season and another on Saturday for Slavia Prague. The victory helped his team topped the table of the Czech Republic league.
player of the week
Chidozie Awaziem was the Super Eagles Player of the Week after returning to the Hajduk Split roster. And this comeback was important in his team's victory. The 26-year-old has 3 tackles, 2 clearances and also has a passing accuracy of 98%.
