Ave K. P. Kludze Jr. is a Ghanaian aerospace engineer and civil servant, specializing in complex systems engineeringand design. He is a senior NASA Spacecraft Systems Engineer. Kludze has held positions at various NASA Centers including the NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia and NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, where he became if not the first African, the first Ghanaian to ever fly (command and control) a Spacecraft in Orbit (including the ERBS and TRMM Spececrafts, etc. for NASA from a mission control center). His achievements span across aeronautics, nanotechnology, engineering and space exploration.

6. NASA's robotic arm for Mars

Dr. Ashitey Trebi-Ollennu is the chief engineer of a team formed to design robots for NASA missions at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge, California, United States.

Trebi-Ollennu not only worked on the Phoenix aircraft that found water on Mars in 2008 but also contributed to the Mars Exploration Rover project in 2003 and the Mars Science Laboratory in 2011.
