Liverpool will be looking for a third straight win when they travel to London to take on West Ham United on Wednesday.

The Reds, which had previously gone five games without a win, have now racked up consecutive wins over Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.

Next up for Jurgen Klopp's men is a game against the recently improved Hammers, beating Bournemouth 4-0 in their last game.

Meanwhile, it looks like the Merseyside side are confident of signing one of their main targets this summer.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are confident they are leading Arsenal in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount. The England international's contract with the Blues expires next summer and he has been tipped to leave the club at the end of this season.

Negotiations between Chelsea and the player's agent have so far made no progress, and as a result, Liverpool have begun swarming around to entice the midfielder to leave the capital.

Mount is a target for Liverpool and Arsenal

Mount, 24, made his Chelsea debut in 2019 and has now made 195 appearances for the club, scoring 33 goals and providing 37 assists in all competitions.

This season, the former Derby County loanee has made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing six assists.

Newcastle United and Manchester United are also said to be monitoring the Englishman's current situation. Liverpool will lose at least two centre-backs this summer and will therefore be looking for replacements when the transfer window opens.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are both said to be out of contract and there is no indication either player will stay at Anfield beyond this summer.

The report also claims the Red Devils could consider signing three first-team midfielders this season as they look to bounce back next season after a disappointing campaign this season.
