Chelsea lost several players to Barcelona last summer. The west London club lost Andreas Christensen to the Catalan side when the Cobham Academy graduate left Chelsea on a free transfer to join Barcelona.

Chelsea also wanted to pay Raphinha and Jules Kounde last summer but the west London club ended up losing both stars to Barcelona as both chose Barcelona over Chelsea. Raphinha's situation was even worse as Chelsea had to wait for Barcelona to reach an agreement with Leeds United before it was certain they would not get Raphinha.

The west London club and the Spanish giants tried to overlook their differences last summer when Chelsea sold Marcos Alonso to Barcelona and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea. In the upcoming summer transfer window, Chelsea and Barcelona can reunite in another round of deals. Indeed, the Catalan side want to sign Cesar Azpilicueta, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and N'Golo Kante, according to Transfer Market.

Chelsea cannot be picky about who they will do business with next summer, even though they are direct and local rivals in the Premier League.

The West London team will have to actively reduce the squad next summer. With around 31 players registered in the Chelsea first team this season, they have the biggest squad in Europe. Joao Felix and Denis Zakaria will return to Atletico Madrid and Juventus respectively this summer, but Chelsea have a host of loan players back in the squad this summer, including Callum Hudson-Odoi, Romelu Lukaku, Ethan Ampadu and Levi Colwill.

Chelsea's priority over the next summer is to sell players and there may not be a chance to complain about where players are going.

PSG were linked with Robert Lewandowski and Gianluca Scamacca last year. In the end, Lewandowski decided to bring his talent to Barcelona, ??while PSG rejected Sassuolo's high bid for Scamacca, prompting them to put pen to paper on a five-year contract with West Ham. .

PSG coach Christophe Galtier confirmed in September that the club had such transfer plans in place. If PSG managed to bring in such a player, it could have opened the door for Galtier to deploy his squad in a 4-3-1-2 formation, with Mbappe filling either position. midfielder in front.

Overall, Osimhen has two years left on his contract at Napoli, while Kane is now set to become a free agent next year.
