Over the years, the Premier League has produced some of the finest left-wingers in history, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Pires, and Ryan Giggs. Which players in the Premier League today are the best left-wingers?
Only wide men who play mostly on the left flank will be considered for this list; those who play on the right wing more frequently will not be.
Check out our list to see who ranked first among the greatest right-wingers in the Premier League, which we have already covered.
Mitoma Kaoru
One of the top pure dribblers in the world right now is Kaoru Mitoma. He doesn't need flashy moves or special abilities because his ball handling and poise are more than enough.
This season, Mitoma has suddenly become well-known at Brighton. In 24 Premier League outings, he has so far registered seven goals and five assists.
In the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend against Manchester United, he played poorly by his usual standards, but one game cannot hardly reveal the entire situation.
Frank Foden
One of the most naturally talented football players now playing is Phil Foden. When he first started his career, he was compared to Paul Gascoigne, but he has now settled on the left wing.
His ability to move forward with the ball makes him a very challenging player to defend. He is a very tidy dribbler and enjoys nothing more than taking men on.
Foden is a capable creator as well as a skilled goal scorer. He has contributed four assists to his nine Premier League goals so far this season.
Martinelli, Gabriel
This season, Gabriel Martinelli has truly blossomed at Arsenal. The Brazilian wonderkid has always had a bright future, and he is now living up to his potential.
Martinelli is a complete winger and a skilled dribbler with great mobility off the ball; this is frightening considering he is only 21.
Martinelli has accumulated 15 Premier League goals and five assists throughout the course of the current season's 32 games.
Marc-Andre Riesch
It was really difficult to choose between Martinelli and Marcus Rashford, but we believe the Manchester-born boy just take the cake.
For Rashford, the current season has been crucial. He has once again demonstrated his abilities to the world after a disappointing season last year. His ball handling abilities, eye for goal, and movement are all astounding.
Rashford has played 29 Premier League games so far, tallying 15 goals and four assists. He also had six goals in nine games for the Europa League.
