A few days ago, a video began going viral on social media about a teacher who got into a slight argument with her student and later things escalated resulting in the teacher and her student exchanging blows. It all began over a confiscated phone by the teacher, the student was said to be using the phone while the teacher was busy teaching, and upon the teacher noticing, she decided to seize the phone so she could concentrate on what was being taught on the board. The student then approached her teacher demanding the immediate release of her confiscated phone, the teacher refused leading to the student landing a punch in the face of her teacher.
The teacher replied with a punch leading them to engage in a serious fight inside the class, the teacher did her best in disciplining her and received so much applause online for standing on his grounds as a teacher.
Today, news circulating reveals that the teacher has resigned from the school and her last words were “I can’t put my life in danger”. After the spread of her resignation, online users took to the comments section of one of Nigeria’s top news agencies @yabaleftonline who shared the news to add their opinions, a few of them are highlighted below;

“A lot of teachers are quitting because of incidents
like this and low pay. There's gonna be a huge
shortage of teachers in the US soon”.

“In society, we have found ourselves, we put everything in the hand of school, to teach our kids good morals after we have failed as parents to do the needful. As a parent, it's my responsibility to train my kids morally, it's the responsibility of the school to teach academics”.

“It's the administration that does this I'll bet the farm these students don't have respect for the staff and that disrespect comes straight from the administrators! They cuddle the kids and let them terrorize the other students as well as the teachers!”.

“What is it with American students fighting their Teachers all over that country”.
