Leeds and Leicester's 1-1 draw did little to help either team's chances of surviving.
Following Patrick Bamford's shocking late error in Tuesday night's 1-1 draw against relegation rivals Leicester, Leeds manager Javi Gracia and his team have rallied behind him.
In the dying seconds, after a corner, Bamford guided the ball wide from two yards out, forcing Leeds to settle for a point in their battle for survival.
With his first Premier League goal since October, Leicester's replacement Jamie Vardy offset Luis Sinisterra's first-half header and earned his team a critical point.
Marc Roca missed Leeds' greatest opportunity to win the victory when his header from an earlier corner was saved by Daniel Iversen before being hacked clear, according to Gracia, who also claimed that Bamford was in an offside position when he scooped his late chance off target.
"I like to be honest with you," the head coach of Leeds remarked. The opportunity for (Bamford) comes from an offside position.
"Offside position, in my opinion, is Patrick's chance. The corner kick and Marc Roca's successful header in that instance were, in my opinion, the two most obvious chances.
"I had the chance to achieve a better outcome at that precise moment. Though we tried, it was too late.
Jack Harrison, whose superb cross gave Sinisterra the lead in the first half, has urged Bamford to recover swiftly.
It takes place in football. Harrison said to LUTV, "This is a part of the game. There are always things we can improve on because it wasn't just him; there may have been a few other people who might have had opportunities here and there and things we could have prevented.
"Even the top players in the world experience it occasionally. We are all behind him because I know how he is as a person. He will be eager to make up for it on Sunday by scoring another goal.
