The Premier League has once again confirmed its reputation as the biggest league in the world this season.

Arsenal and Manchester City are engaged in an extremely hot title war at the height of their peak, with the Gunners aiming for their first Premier League title since 2004.

Newcastle United and Manchester United are among the teams vying for a place in the Champions League, while Liverpool and Chelsea tumble down the rankings after disappointing seasons.

Further down the league, a host of teams are desperate to escape the Premier League's relegation trap, including Everton, who have never been relegated from the league.

How many games are left in the Premier League this season? Officially, 33 of the 38 rounds have taken place in the Premier League this season.

However, only a handful of teams have played all the games this season.

For example, Manchester United and Brighton have only played 30 league matches.

Typically teams have played a number of different games at this stage of the season, with games postponed due to commitments in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

When does the Premier League season end? The current Premier League season will end on Sunday, May 28.

All ten matches on Match Day 38 will start at the same time, at 4:30 p.m., to ensure tournament-wide fairness with a potential title race, European qualifiers and a battle for the top. Ranking will run until the last day.

The FA Cup final will take place next weekend, Saturday, June 3.

The Champions League final will then close the curtain on the club's fixture list on Saturday 10 June.

When does the Premier League start next season? The Premier League has confirmed that next season will kick off on Saturday, August 12.

This will give Premier League clubs 11 weeks to prepare for the new season after the current season ends.

Manchester City ran a red light against Arsenal. The Gunners need a win at the Etihad if they are to continue as strong contenders in the Premier League title race and they were dealt a blow early in the game.

Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring after 6 minutes. The Belgian midfielder scored in the middle of the field before facing the entire Arsenal team before firing from outside the box. Ramsdale couldn't reach far enough to save that corner and Etihad broke the game for the first time. The midfielder has made 41 official appearances this season, making 36 starts, scoring seven goals and providing 23 assists. The Belgium international is undoubtedly the most important Cityzens player besides Haaland.

If Pep Guardiola's army wins all 3 points against the Emirates Stadium team, they will be 2 points behind the Gunners and play 2 matches less.
