PREDICTED MANCHESTER UNITED LINE-UP V TOTTENHAM

Manchester United take on Tottenham tonight in the Premier League in a crucial kick-off at the top of the table.

Manchester United’s main goal at the start of the season was to finish inside the top four. Erik ten Hag can take a major step forward with a victory at Tottenham tonight.

United can move nine points clear of Spurs with two games in hand with a win tonight. Three points would almost lock up a Champions League place for next season.

Tottenham themselves are in wretched form. But the problem is United's poor away record, failing to win away at all teams in the top half of the table this season.

Predicted Manchester United line-up vs. Tottenham

The big worry in the lead-up to this game is Bruno Fernandes’ fitness. We are predicting that Fernandes’ sheer determination to play gets him into the starting line-up and playing like normal.

In goal, it will be David de Gea. The defense is less predictable due to the injuries and Harry Maguire’s return from suspension.

The back four could be the same as those that lined up at Wembley. This will be Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back and Diogo Dalot continuing on the left.

Maguire could have to settle for a place on the bench, with Victor Lindelof partnered by Luke Shaw, who has really settled into the center-back role when needed.

United’s midfield will certainly feature Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. It is just a question of who completes the trio. We are going to go out on a limb and predict that Bruno Fernandes passes a late fitness test.

If he is not ready or Ten Hag plays safe, then Fred may have earned a return to the team with an impressive substitute display.

United’s front three is likely to be the trio that started at Wembley, provided Marcus Rashford is fit enough to start again after making his return from injury at the weekend. There is a big game on Sunday to plan for too, when United host Aston Villa.

Anthony Martial and Antony will join Rashford in the attack. But if there are doubts over any of them, Jadon Sancho and Wout Weghorst will be ready to step in.
