For their match against Tottenham on Thursday, Manchester United has named Bruno Fernandes to their traveling lineup.
The midfielder, who was earlier labeled as a "question mark" by manager Erik ten Hag during his pre-match news conference, turned his ankle during the FA Cup semi-final victory over Brighton.
Ten Hag insisted that Fernandes would be given the opportunity to demonstrate his readiness before a decision on his participation would be made, and the Portugal international seems to have succeeded after being a part of United's traveling squad.
It's unclear how physically fit Fernandes is. The 28-year-old, who was wanted by Tottenham before joining United, missed training in the lead-up to the game and may have to settle for a bench position.
Center backs Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, midfielders Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek, and winger Alejandro Garnacho—the latter of whom is back in training as he approaches a comeback from an ankle injury—are all already absent for Hakimi United.
"Alejandro is not ready for the game," Ten Hag said to MUTV.
"Scott, I'm afraid we'll have to wait a little while longer. However, I am confident that everyone is driven to return as soon as possible because we play a lot of "finals," important games, and when it's all said and done, we know what happened.
With a win over Tottenham, United would tighten their hold on fourth place in the Premier League standings. The pressure from Aston Villa and Liverpool is increasing, but United still has games in hand over both teams and is comfortably in control of their own destiny.
90min has been informed by sources with knowledge of the matter that Sheikh Jassim is dedicated to a "full takeover" of the club. They are "as confident as they can be" that their campaign will be successful because they seek a total break from the present Glazer administration.
The third and final round of offers to buy and/or invest in United has begun, and this Friday is the deadline set by American investment bank Raine Group, which is overseeing the process.
