The National Communications Authority (NCA) of Ghana is the Government of Ghana agency the statutory body mandated to license and to regulate electronic communications activities and services in the country.

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has announced it plans to deploy a system that will enable individuals verify the number of SIM cards that has been linked to their Ghana Cards.
There has been several reports of numbers linked to other peoples Ghana Card without their knowledge. This has drawn the attention of many as people are calling for means by which they can verify the numbers being linked to their Ghana Cards.
NCA in a social media post announced that it has actively engaged the various telecommunication networks on launching a shortcode that will allow subscribers to verify the number of SIM cards linked to their Ghana Cards. The NCA and the Telcos have already been actively working on a short code for Individual Subscribers to verify the number of SIMs associated with a Ghana card; you just type the shortcode on your phone, and after a verification process using your Ghana card pin, the number of SIMs associated with the Ghana card will be displayed.
The NCA said the shortcode will be ready and starting from 1st May, 2023 you can check the number of SIMs that has been linked to your Ghana card. If you find any strange number linked to you Ghana card, visit the offices of Telco to delink the number.
