Owen Hargreaves and Rio Ferdinand have questioned their decision to replace Erik ten Hag after Manchester United's two-goal defeat to Tottenham.
Jadon Sancho scored after seven minutes with Marcus Rashford doubling the lead just before half-time as United took control of Thursday's clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Pedro Porro and Son Heung-min scored in the second half as Spurs fought back to salvage a much-needed draw.
After 120 minutes against Brighton in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final, Ten Hag made the substitutions in the hour with Christian Eriksen, who had been outstanding in the first half, replacing him with Fred.
Fred had a difficult night after, along with Anthony Martial, who also came on for Sancho after an hour, failed to win. Ten Hag made two more changes with Tyrell Malacia and Wout Weghorst replacing Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Antony, with the full-back responsible for the equalizer for Tottenham.
