The Dominion University College has announced plans to create an efficient artificial intelligence (AI) center of excellence to educate and empower young people via information technology (IT) and entrepreneurial possibilities.
This, according to the university's chairman, professor Felix Nikoi Hammond, was done to help lower young unemployment, especially among women in the nation.
Using artificial intelligence teaching at the university, he said that his company will administer the center in collaboration with certain well-known institutions in the United States of America (USA).

On the eve of Dominion University's sixth commencement ceremony, which was held in Accra, Ghana, Prof. Hammond revealed this in a media interview. "Critically, the yet-to-be-established facility would train our young women and girls and empower them in IT and economic prospects." It would be located on the grounds of Dominion University College's new ultramodern edifice in East Legon, Accra.
The location of the center will prevent our enrolled adolescents, women, and girls from going through the mass educational system.
"They would receive training in efficient entrepreneurship and be outfitted to enter the market prepared and aware of their precise course of action," he continued.
Because they couldn't rely on the university to raise the necessary funds to operate the center, Prof. Hammond noted that the university's administration had already begun raising money abroad. He urged the graduates to preserve honesty, morality, and professionalism.
Prof. Hammond praised the graduates and advised them to apply the information they have attained to better their lives. The overall top student for the academic year 2020–2021 got GHC 3,000, while the top students in each department received GHC $1,000.
Stay away from bad influences.
Professor Nicholas N.N. Nsowah-Nuamah, president of Dominion University College, cautioned the graduates not to surround themselves with harmful role models in their personal lives.
He cautioned them against allowing unfavorable or ill influences to generally obstruct their future success.
"You should never forget the substantial financial and human resources invested in your training."
As a result, I challenge you to go out there and dedicate yourself to hard, honest work in order to justify the significant investment made in your training.
